This is a mosaic created from two images loacted in this gallery; M8 the Lagoon Nebula and M20 the Trifid Nebula. These two objects lie very close together, and when combined into one seemless photo present a fantastic view of Milkyway nebulosity.

The mosaic shows the blue and red Trifid Nebula at the top(M20) with it's nearby open cluster M21. At the bottom you find the Lagoon Nebula (M8). Visit the individual gallery pages for more detail about each individual nebula and technical details of each photo.
