This wide angle shot show s the Southern horizon from my home in central New Mexico.
This view clearly shows the northen half of the galaxy's center, and shows many bright nebula, open clusters, dark dust lanes.
The photo was captured very easily with a 28mm wide-angle camera lens. I stopped the lens down to f/4 to reduce field curvature. The camera was then piggybacked onto the scope and left unattended for 25 minutes. No guiding was necessary.
