Astrograph Gallery

This is a collection of film astrophotographs taken between June and September, 2005. All photographs were captured with an Olympus OM-1 35mm camera attached to a Meade LXD75 8 inch f/4 Schmidt Newtonian telescope. Some shots were simple "piggyback" shots , where the camera was mounted on the back of the scope and just used the telescope's mounting for accurate tracking. Most of the shots were attached directly to telescope using the "prime focus" technique. Details of these techniques are described in the Tutorial section of this website.

Selections with the Hubble Telescope contain additional photographs taken from the Hubbe Space telescope!
